That red 109 is actually a Series IV, so to speak. Santana wanted to license-build the Defender, Rover said no, and Santana decided to build their own, with blackjack, and hookers. It’s a nice truck, and swapping things to what’s “correct” for a Defender is actually somewhat pointless.

I could be mistaken, but I think since the 130s have never been legal here, any that are have to be hand modified out of new parts and existing *legal* 110s. Labor plus the already sky-high costs of a 110 plus a bunch of other wackiness, and the price just runs away. Not a shock they think anyone crazy enough to commission/want one has more money than brain.
